With the 2008 release of Strike A Match, Autodrone proved to us that excellent music still exist. Hailing from the New York underground, The 5 piece will return to L.A. this coming week. They consist of the Katherine Kennedy on Vox who is reminiscent of the likes of Sarah Shannon of Velocity Girl and the sultry dark haunting feel of Kristin Hersh of Throwing Muses. Back by the whirling angular sounds of Jeremy Alisauskas on guitar, Angel Lorelei packing the punch on Bass & Keys and rounding out the band Dennis Lehrer on drums and most recent addition Annika Frances on viola together they create a powerful but enchanting wall of sound. Let us not forget the brilliant contribution to Dots To Connect a tribute to The Prids and their take of "Let It Go" a few years back, Autodrone continues to emerge and create an authentic sound that should not be missed combining elements of Post Punk, Shoegaze and Beauty.

Doors open at 9 p.m. with L.A. Favourites In Waves http://www.myspace.com/inwaves starting off the night, Autodrone and Hometown Synth Gods Catalog http://www.myspace.com/catalogmusic.
